Fenwick Represented Cisco in its $1.9 Billion Acquisition of BroadSoft

Fenwick & West represented Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO), in its pending acquisition of BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT), a leader in cloud calling and contact center solutions. Cisco will acquire BroadSoft for approximately $1.9 billion net of cash, assuming fully diluted shares including conversion of debt. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of calendar year 2018, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory review.

With the acquisition, Cisco and BroadSoft will deliver a robust suite of collaboration capabilities across market segments and reinforce Cisco’s commitment to Unified Communications, while enhancing its ability to address the millions of aging TDM lines poised to transition to IP technology and cloud native solutions over the coming years.
