Fenwick & West represented Sterling Equities, a family-run diversified group of companies and principal owner of the New York Mets, in a franchise and licensing transaction to join Activision Blizzard’s new Overwatch League, an international eSports professional league for the popular game Overwatch. It is the first major global eSports league that is modelled on a traditional professional sports league franchise structure, and each team will be linked to a specific city.
