Chris King has over 10 years of experience in domestic and international patent prosecution, portfolio management and counseling, and patent due diligence, and has obtained several hundred domestic and international patents for his clients, which range from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Chris’s practice focuses on the software and computer science fields, particularly machine learning, cryptography, web advertising, social networks, programming languages, and software engineering.
Chris is particularly interested in the recent law of patent eligibility under 35 U.S.C. § 101, especially as it pertains to software inventions. He enjoys supervising and mentoring more junior colleagues and analyzing and improving patent methodologies, as well as developing software in his spare time.
While attending law school, Christopher was a legal intern at Affymetrix, Inc. in Santa Clara, California. While at Santa Clara University, he earned a High Tech Law Certificate and served as an Articles Editor for the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal.
