Fenwick is representing CISCO Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO), a worldwide leader in technology, in its pending acquisition of Oort, a company focused on Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) technology.
Leveraging Oort’s identity-centric technology will enhance Cisco’s Security Cloud’s user context telemetry. Cisco will incorporate Oort’s capabilities across their portfolio, including their Duo Identity Access Management (IAM) technology and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) portfolios. In addition to strengthening Cisco’s native telemetry, Oort’s integrations with other third-party vendors – including Google, Microsoft, Okta and Auth0 – will support Cisco’s commitment to increase interoperability and deliver consistent outcomes regardless of vendor or technology. The Oort team will join Cisco’s Security Business Group, where they will partner closely with Cisco’s teams to bolster the identity perimeter. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of FY24. More information can be obtained from Cisco’s announcement.
