Melissa advises clients in the technology and life sciences industries on a broad variety of litigation matters.

Before joining Fenwick, Melissa was a staff attorney at an international law firm, where she advised a global social media company on litigation and regulatory matters. Prior to that, she served as general counsel and head of human resources at Maverick, a next generation social network, where she handled day-to-day legal affairs for the startup, including commercial, employment, operational and talent agreements.

Melissa has an active pro bono practice. She has partnered with Immigrant Legal Defense to assist a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient with their DACA renewal and also assisted a family with an adoption in connection with the firm's Pro Bono Adoption Project with Public Counsel, where she served as a project coordinator in the Santa Monica office. Melissa has also served as a volunteer for Vote Save America and National Poll Worker Recruitment.
