Fenwick Represents GoPro in $285M Acquisition by Starman Optical
Fenwick is representing GoPro, Inc. (Nasdaq: GPRO), a U.S.-based technology company specializing in action cameras, accessories, and subscription-based services, in its pending acquisition by Starman Optical, Inc. ("Starman"), a privately held optical-photonics company.
The transaction is expected to expand GoPro's presence in AI data centers, government, defense, and aerospace markets through the addition of a U.S. onshore optical transceiver business, while enabling the company to continue supporting its consumer products, subscription offerings, and cloud platform while investing in future growth.
